Galena Eagle Ridge Resort Wedding | Kim + Adam by Peer Canvas Photographer

Congratulations to Kim and Adam who were married this weekend in Galena at the Eagle Ridge Resort.    Kim was absolutely stunning with her fiery red hair and gorgeous custom bridal gown.  She lives life with the volume all the way up, she hugs for real and can effortlessly make you feel welcome and like old friends.  Her and Adam's wedding was filled with laughs, family, friends, and lots of love.  Brenton and I are so happy and grateful to be a part of their fabulous day :)

We started the day with Adam and the gents.  He wrote a wonderful letter to Kim---can't wait to share some of that in their wedding video :)

Kim reading Adam's letter.   Love these wonderful moments.  Kim wore gorgeous cobalt blue shoes, and a custom Bridal gown by Dame Couture.  The lace bodice and tulle skirting were stunning.

Hair and Makeup by Lisa from Bridal Beauty & Bling.

Kim made a smashing entrance as she came down the isle.  Love the blue suits and blush accents.  What a great moment as Kim's father shakes Adam's hand as he gives his daughter away.  Kim's beautiful flowers were by Boesen Florist.

The ceremony was held under a heated tent.  The first days of October were chilly and the heaters were a welcome addition :)  The Ceremony ended with a BANG---as one of the floral vases in crashed as Adam and Kim were just pronounced husband and wife.  Their reaction is pictured bottom left.  Kim was so easy going--it didn't faze her at all.

The clouds parted as we took family pictures on the patio by the gazebo.  What a gorgeous family.

We took the shuttle to a close by waterfall.  What a beautiful backdrop for these gorgeous people.  Absolutely love the way the cobalt blue dresses pop.  The guys looked handsome in their suits.

A few moments with the newlyweds by the waterfall...

We then made our way to the golf course for a few pictures on one of the greens.  These guys were so much fun.

How beautiful are these two?!?

Hopping on the shuttle to join cocktail hour.

The beautiful set up for the reception.  It was great for Kim and the ladies to see all of their hard work and planning come together.  The room was warm and inviting.  Love the look on Kim's face as she sees her room set up for the first time.  Her own words---#nailedit :)

The cake was simple and elegant.  Love the "Finally" cake topper.  Cake by Wedding Day Bakery in Galena, IL.   Cake topper by Better off Wed :)

Kim had live music at cocktail hour.  There were appetizers, drinks and selfie sticks :)

For the guest book---Kim's father made a replica of the Stanley Cup for the guests to sign.  It turned out fantastic and was a huge hit with the guests.

The Stanley Cup made their entrance to the reception all the more special.  This group was so much fun.  Kim's uncle (who was also the officiant of their ceremony) pretended to swipe a bit of frosting as he made his entrance, and the groomsmen borrowed some dance moves from Dirty Dancing for their entrance.

Kim and Adam having a blast cutting their cake.  The glasses started clinking for a kiss--and the groom wasn't around---so the best man was cheered on by the crowd to step in :)  Like a smart guy he is holding his wine glass as far away as possible from Kim's dress.

The Big Al Wetzel Band was great as the played for the reception.  Their first dance was magical.---we got an approving look from Dad as well :)

The Father daughter dance was lovely and also the mother son dance.  Love the live music too.

The Stanley Cup was a crowd favorite :)  Many a guest took their turn holding it up in the air, dancing with it, kissing it, and of course taking their picture with it as well.

A few detail shots of The Big Al Wetzel Band as they performed.  They really kept the party going with a great mix of dancing songs.

Kim and Adam had a wonderful display of pictures of loved ones lost they they wanted to remember on their special day.  It was a great way to incorporate those who could not be there.  We wrapped up the evening with one last picture with the beautiful couple and of course the Stanley Cup.

Many many many congratulations to you both!!  Kim and Adam may your future be filled with much love and laughter.  Brenton and I are truly grateful that you chose us to be a part of your day :)  Can't wait to get working on your wedding video as well!!!
